以前、LAMP・LAPP環境のサポート期限の記事を書いたんですが、クライアントから「サポートサイクル（サポートポリシー）はどうなっているの？」と問い合わせを受けたので調べてみました。

Red Hat Enterprise Linuxのライフサイクル
- 10年（＋約3年の"Extended Life Phase"）
※Extended Life Phase：限定的なサポートしか提供されないが、Red Hat CDNからソフトウェアを入手できる延命期間
Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 5, 6, and 7 each deliver 10 years of support in Production Phases 1, 2, and 3 followed by an Extended Life Phase.
（Red Hat Enterprise Linuxバージョン5,6,7は、それぞれProduction Phase 1,2および3で10年のサポートを提供し、続いてExtended Life Phaseをサポートします。）
CentOS
- 10年
CentOS conforms fully with Red Hat, Inc's redistribution policies and aims to be functionally compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. CentOS mainly changes packages to remove trademarked vendor branding and artwork.
（CentOSはRed Hat、Incの再配布ポリシーに完全に準拠しており、Red Hat Enterprise Linuxと機能的に互換性があることを目指しています。 CentOSは、主に商標変更されたベンダーのブランドとアートワークを削除するためにパッケージを変更します。）
Ubuntu

Standard Ubuntu releases are supported for 9 months and Ubuntu LTS (long-term support) releases are supported for five years on both the desktop and the server. During that time, there will be security fixes and other critical updates.

Debian

Debian Long Term Support (LTS) is a project to extend the lifetime of all Debian stable releases to (at least) 5 years. Debian LTS will not be handled by the Debian security team, but by a separate group of volunteers and companies interested in making it a success.

Each release branch of PHP is fully supported for two years from its initial stable release. During this period, bugs and security issues that have been reported are fixed and are released in regular point releases.
（PHPの各リリースブランチは、最初の安定リリースから2年間完全にサポートされています。この間、報告されているバグやセキュリティの問題は修正され、通常のリリースでリリースされます。）
After this two year period of active support, each branch is then supported for an additional year for critical security issues only. Releases during this period are made on an as-needed basis: there may be multiple point releases, or none, depending on the number of reports.

The latest release, 10.1, was announced as stable in November 2015 and will be maintained until at least November 2020. The version currently under development, 10.2, is scheduled to be announced as stable in early 2017.

A new MariaDB Server version will be announced for General Availability approximately once a year. The MariaDB Foundation guarantees that every release will be maintained for at least 5 years. The MariaDB Foundation prioritizes security fixes and major bug fixes that affect a large amount of users, and other fixes that are important to the members and sponsors of the foundation.
